Evidence-Based Psychotherapy with Holistic Somatic Integration
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – identify, challenge, and change fear-based unhelpful thought patterns that fuel fear and anxiety. Break the anxiety-avoidance cycle. Build awareness of bodily sensations and integrate skills to respond in anxious/panic states. Cultivate a sense of control, confidence and empowerment with measurable, concrete strategies.
- Exposure & Response Prevention Therapy (ERP)– safely retrain & rewire the brain’s fear response. Gradually, collaboratively, compassionately face feared objects, situations, sensations and learn to resist avoidance or safety behaviors that reinforce the fear.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) – acceptance vs avoidance/control, cognitive defusion and compassionate mindfulness practices. Reduce nervous system activation and break the anxiety-panic-fear cycle. Reduce the emotional impact of dysfunctional thought patterns that fuel fear and anxiety. Live a meaningful, value-based life even when symptoms are present.
- Somatic & Nervous System Regulation – addresses the anxiety and fear stored in the body. Weaving in somatic tools in sessions (breathwork, grounding, body awareness, guided imagery/meditation, hypnotherapy, therapeutic yoga to go to the subconscious mind and target symptoms at the root to enhance healing and wellbeing
Mindfulness-Based Interventions – increasing present-moment awareness and cultivate safety & empowerment. Activate the parasympathetic (calming) nervous system, calm the mind, and reduce physical symptoms. Encourages kindness and self-acceptance, and emotional safety.
