I am passionate about meeting individuals right where they are in their journey and together creating a safe and encouraging environment to explore the challenges they are facing and working through traumatic and unresolved life events. Together, developing goals that are unique to their individual needs and desires that create lasting change in their life.
I utilize a multi-modal approach to therapy by working to tailor the therapeutic process and determining which treatment modality will be most effective and helpful based on needs. I specialize in utilizing techniques from motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, strength-based therapy, gestalt, and mindfulness. Walking along side of individuals to increase self-awareness, develop coping strategies, establish self-care techniques, increase insight, accomplish goals, and work through trauma and unresolved life events to create sustainable change.
I have diverse clinical training and experience working with a wide range of presenting problems. My focus areas are adults with substance use, mood disorders, anxiety, self-esteem, and trauma.
