Chancellor Addresses Chiropractic Field’s Future

Chiropractor

In a speech to the current students and alumni in September 2022, CEO and chancellor of Palmer College Dennis Marchiori talked about the future of the institution’s long-term goals and its commitment to following new frameworks in regards chiropractic care and education for new and working professionals in the field. The college was celebrating its 125th anniversary. Marchiori spoke about the school’s past, and how it was critical to examine its history to inform its trajectory as a leading chiropractic institution. He discussed his personal and family history, including his decision for pursuing a chiropractic career.

The chancellor’s emphasis on examining the history of the college to guide their chiropractic practices highlights how chiropractic treatment has a storied tradition. Decades of chiropractic studies done by seasoned chiropractors have resulted in many treatment approaches and exercises identified as effective for many conditions and ailments. From back pain to migraines, chiropractic treatment has yielded significant results and helped many patients obtain lasting relief from their symptoms and improve their general health.

Conditions A Chiropractor Treats

If you are wondering what exactly goes into chiropractic care, you can go to a trusted and highly qualified Palatine chiropractor like one from Lotus Wellness Center. Compared to traditional Western medicine and treatment methodologies, chiropractic care utilizes a natural holistic approach that does not rely on strong drugs or surgery. Through their education, chiropractors learn how to diagnose symptoms and underlying conditions causing an imbalance in the body. They find natural ways to treat dysfunctions and injuries affecting the muscles, bones, and nerves so that patients can achieve lasting relief and better health. Several common injuries and conditions that patients seek chiropractic care for include:

  • Back pain
  • Joint pain
  • Nerve pain
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Sports injuries
  • Car accident injuries

Effective Chiropractic Treatments

Patients who have symptoms like joint pain, nerve pain, or back pain can receive a variety of treatment options from an experienced chiropractor with years of experience in the field. Spinal adjustments, therapeutic massage, physical therapy, and  therapy for accident-related injuries are just a few of the specialized treatments that they offer. Because all of the treatments are natural and don’t involve harsh medication or surgeries that can result in risky side effects, the treatments are a safer option that can produce results that are just as good or even better than traditional treatment.

A chiropractor will do a complete physical exam and ask you questions about your symptoms and conditions to determine a treatment plan that can work for you. Many patients have experienced relief after just a few sessions of receiving chiropractic care. When you receive treatment, the chiropractor will guide you so that you are comfortable, and the treatments themself do not cause any pain. The chiropractor will monitor your progress to see how well you respond to the treatments.
